George W. Wilson, although originally from New York, has always been interested in the study of the Old West and its history. Moving to Texas years later only increased his love of that subject as it brought him closer to many of the areas and stories he had read about. Marrying a girl from Oklahoma who was adept at genealogy (who later worked at Clayton Genealogical Library in Houston for many years) gave him the assistance and direction needed for his research when he decided to delve into writing, abstracting information from newspapers, visiting courthouses and libraries, and preparing this information for publication.
Being retired from regular daily employment, he has the time to travel and, as a freelance photographer, can (when possible) add area pictures to the text for added interest.
Come journey back to the west of old and relive history with these Old West Escapades.
